Anthony started his musical career at the age of 8, although his mother introduced him to music at the age of 3. As a concert pianist, she taught him how to use his ear to find pitch and she introduced him to classical and latin music. He began playing the guitar at the age of 8, but gravitated to the drums instead. After playing drums for 7 straight years in various local bands and his mother's church choir, he decided to pick up the guitar again. Along the line, he also began playing the C Flute at the age of 12, and played in his junior high school and high school concert band. While in high school, he started a band showcase that allowed local high school bands to play at the Winter and Spring Concerts at his school. This allowed a lot of kids an outlet for their musical creativity, and it's still happening to this day.
Anthony then went off to college to pursue a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Theatre at Hofstra University, and after learning how to properly sing and project his voice, he performed in front of crowds of five hundred in plays like The Boyfriend, Pride and Prejudice, and The Three Sisters. He also starred in John Olive's Standing on My Knees, and he performed for the Broadhollow Theatre Company's version of The Tale of the Allergist's Wife. While in college, he also played in various local bands and studied Jazz Guitar.
Anthony is now the frontman for an up and coming band in NYC, and his last project garnered much attention from the NYC underground music scene and from labels such as Sony BMG and Atlantic. He is now searching for dedicated and willing students to learn from the knowledge he has acquired over the years.
Lessons are very laid back. There's no pressure, and we're not competing in a race to find the next musical guru. Anthony likes for the student to connect the dots that he lays out in front of them so the lesson sticks. Guitar, Bass, and flute lessons consist of "Rhythm Technique", "Music Theory", "Scales", "Improvisation", "Sight Reading" and "Tablature". I like to focus on one or two of these topics over the course of the lesson, and I like to explain the topic and break it down to its simplest form.
For drum lessons, we go over "Rudiments", "Stick Control", "Rhythm Patterns", "Rhythm Exercises", and "Muscle Memory". I do have a studio with a drum kit for those that want to play outside of their home.
Vocal and Acting consists of "Speech", "Monologues", "Script Analysis", "Voice Projection", "Lip Exercises", and "Relaxation" exercises.
