I have been a touring musician since the age of seventeen. After attending Humboldt State University for a degree in music performance, i was asked to go on a national tour, playing many festivals, clubs and venues along the way. This gave me a new perspective on how one could learn music, making sure the anyone i taught would have the ability to be a performing musician.

Along the way i have studied with some of the nations top Saxophonist in the nation, including Bruce Bahad(berklee, CU Fullerton), Vince Suzuki, and Domanic Lalli.

I have also had the pleasure of performing with National touring acts including: The Dirty Dozen Brass Band, Bill Nershi, Liza Oxnard, and Blue Turtle Seduction.

Upon arriving in Boulder, I set up a private studio, defining how i woud teach, giving a open minded approach to all style of music, making sure to keep the passion in the student alive.

My teaching methods stem from what the student wants to learn, making sure to build a stong foundation in the fundimentals of music first. Everything from sight reading, improvisation, advanced technique, and music theory can be absorbed through lessons with me. After a few months of lessons you will have the tools you need to create your own music, and perform any style you desire.

My main focus as a player is Jazz Improvisation and understanding. Open to all styles, well versed in rock, pop, and classical idioms.
