Hello, I am a professional tutor and educator, and I am available to teach drumming to students of all ages.  I taught elementary school classes for four-and-a-half years, and I currently tutor elementary, middle, and high school age students, so I am very effective in teaching young students.  I have also successfully tutored adult students.  I will be glad to provide references upon request.  As a drummer, I have been playing with bands for fourteen years, and I can teach drumming fundamentals, rudiments, drum chart reading, drum set-up and tuning, the importance of time-keeping and always playing what's appropriate for the music, and much more.  I have numerous young drumming students who are making excellent progress.  In addition, I have a bachelor's degree in elementary education from Florida Atlantic University, and I hold Florida teaching certifications in elementary education and in English with an ESOL (English for speakers of other languages) endorsement.  I have a lot of passion for teaching and drumming, and my students enjoy my enthusiasm, professionalism, and motivation.  I am a great choice if you are interested in hiring a high-quality, reliable drum instructor.

I am a patient, caring, enthusiastic instructor who will work with students to reach their potential.  I use teacher-created, time-tested materials to help each student learn to read actual drum set notation and learn about music theory as well as practical, useful drum set concepts.  I teach all styles of drumming, from rock to jazz to blues and everything in between.  I intend to bring each student to the next level, from beginner to intermediate to advanced.  The end result will be a boost in the student's drumming ability as well as enhanced self-esteem and a feeling of accomplishment.
